At last, the birthday or anniversary of our dear city, Butuan is near. At August 2,  that date will bring up  a celebration through rituals and amazing performances to remember Butuan's history. Butuanons will shout, sing, dance, celebrate with joy to bring peace in Butuan. This is the time when the first king of Butuan, Sribata ruled over the island and lived it for long until Butuan was urbanized and become progressive, Butuan is now a town. Until then progress is going on she became a city.

At the time of Sribata, Philippines was not discovered but Butuan lived first. At that time Butuan was an Ancient Kingdom ruled by Datu Sribata. But when the Spaniards visited in the Philippines after Ferdinand Magellan discovered the island, it was a cheat. The spaniards invaded the Philippines and took over the island but Butuan stands firm because of their Elite Defense. After all those years, Butuan is still standing. Now at the modern day, Butuanons celebrate in order to please Sribata and the Butuan Society because of Butuan's History. That's why they called it "Adlaw Hong Butuan".

This research is to find and remember the ancient history of the ancient kingdom of Butuan. To help and teach people what Butuan City is and to learn to be a good Butuanon.
